My Strong Tower

There are so many questions, concerns, issues, plans, etc.; there are a ton things swimming in my head that at times all I do is just sit in a fog. However, I am so thankful that even in the midst of MY fogginess – GOD!

God is still God
God is still faithful
God is still in full control

Look at what I read this morning in the “Daily Light
Those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, LORD, have not
forsaken those who seek You.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. ◊I will trust and not be afraid; for YAH, the LORD, is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation.

I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread. ◊For the LORD loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. ◊The LORD will not forsake His people, for His great name’s sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you His people. ◊Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us.

Be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

Psalm 9:10; Proverbs 18:10; Isaiah 12:2; Psalm 37:25; Psalm 37:28; 1 Samuel 12:22; 2 Corinthians 1:10; Hebrews 13:5-6.

Then in my Bible reading I read
Matthew 6:27, Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his
stature?

Matthew 6:32-34…your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have
need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take
therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the
things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

I love God’s Word. I love how My heavenly Father knows what I need to hear, what comfort I need to receive. Once again the question that comes to my mind is “how do people survive and function without the LORD?”

I have the LORD, He is My LORD and Savior; He is My Heavenly Father, yet there are those times that I feel so overwhelmed. I still have a choice though, whether to stay in that dip, dark pit or to fall on my face before My Father and cry to Him for help, for wisdom, for understanding. I might not get answers, but HE does lift me up and HE does encourage me, and HE does reassure me that HE ha me, HE is holding and strengthening me with His righteous right hand. HE sings over me and quiets me with His love.

What an incredible God I serve!
